The e-book "Pilotage & Dead Reckoning" is the first in a series designed to teach new X-Plane pilots about navigation. X-Plane is an incredibly realistic tool for learning to fly accurately.
This first book focuses on two of the essential navigation skills every pilot should master: Pilotage and Dead Reckoning. These skills are crucial as they serve as a lifeline in case GPS and radios fail.
To use this book, you only need X-Plane and a free Flight Planner/Moving map application like Little Navmap.
The book includes
- An overview of Pilotage and Dead Reckoning,
- Setting up Little Navmap with X-Plane,
- Detailed explanations of MAGNETIC and TRUE bearings.
- The book then goes on to include a flight with eight legs, teaching new aspects of Pilotage and Dead Reckoning in each leg.
Basic knowledge of school geometry and trigonometry is needed to master Dead Reckoning, but the book provides step-by-step guidance through the calculations.
Upon completing the flight, readers will have a good grasp of Pilotage and Dead Reckoning, including the impact of winds on navigation.
The product page in the store has a whole bunch of double-spread images. Here are some extra Images that did not make it into the product page:

The VSKYLABS 'Test-Pilot': Aeros-2 Trike v3.0 - RELEASED!
Available now: https://store.x-plane.org/Aeros-2-Ultralight-Trike-v3_p_650.htmlNew version v3.0 is a *Major Update Release*:
New v3.0 includes ground-braking updates for the powered hang-glider trike aerodynamics and physics, new sounds, interaction improvements and more.Although this is a 'small scale' project, it servers as one of the core VSKYLABS Hang-Glider simulation test-beds in X-Plane 12, and a *must have* add-on for delta-trike enthusiasts (simmers and real-world pilots).
As usual, version v3.0 is a 'Free Update' for all existing customers, which spans back to version v1.0 back in January 2016(!)
The Update is available via the Skunkcrafts updater. The store build was updated with the latest v3.0 build as well. It is recommended to download the latest build, for keeping the gap between the local/updated version and the store build as narrow as possible.
Stay tuned for more exciting VSKYLABS development news!

The other day I had the same symptom, Reverser seemed to be stuck, after coming to Idle with the throttles. The solution was simple, although its not written directly in the manual (should it be?). retract the speedbrakes to zero disarm(!) the speedbrakes. Then the Reverser can be moved.
-
Absolutely. In the exact same way as you "controlled' the height of the terminal building: Make full custom facade art assets and include them as custom jetways in the scenery. The Jetway animation functions in the sim support custom jetways.

I disagree. If the op is willing to spend a lifetime designing ortho and buildings, etc. it should be possible to render accurate houses and shops, and even put some local folk on the ground to wave to. - Assuming the processing power is there. Even the Google Earth Flight Sim is locked in time. Anyway, it flies like a bag of ****. Seriously: The scenery is limited by CPU/GPU and memory factors, so what you can achieve is often balanced against what you can do without. Nice screenshot! XP12 on a hazy day in the UK. -
Wow, thank you for providing direction. After I tried it, it worked. Thank you so much!

No @Steve.Wilson, I mean the Baro knob in the IESS unit. I noticed it in VR, I didn’t check in 2D. -

Depends where you are and how the airport scenery was designed. Airport designers can insert traffic routes and set vehicles to use them in a random or specific way. The only setting that I see is to "draw parked aircraft", much of the ground traffic is scenery based. You could look for another scenery set for the airport concerned, or contact the designers to see if they have a "not ground vehicles" option. If the scenery is Gateway or Default scenery, you can import it into WED and save it to your custom scenery folder. That would allow you to edit the ground traffic to your liking. Some airports really are busy with ground traffic where there are lots of flights and each tube-liner needs 3-5 vehicles to attend a turnaround. At the other extreme, you would be lucky to see the lawnmower on the airfield grass. -

the fuel selector did not work automatically here. not sure if its only here. no issue to switch manually ofc. -
While we are at it : why is there no ‘channel is busy’ warning light or tone (like in beyond ATC in MSFS) in the ATC window….it so annoying, that there is this constant ‘don t transmit when the channel is busy’ warning …..I hate this X-plane patronizing attitude …what is it good for?It just doen t work when all of a sudden AI aircraft depart from your airport at the same time.Make ATC user friendly instead of patronizing.
-
adjust it o the point where the aircraft respond to your input with decision bot without a trace of over-control - it has to be easy to keep in manual hovering with SAS on, not as easy but still manageable with SAS off
-
Its much better now. Although the N1 is fluctuating a bit around 108-107, speed for V2 is reached with no problems
