In 1990, The Haciendas were born has hotels, from a vision of preservation and restoration of this ex sisal haciendas through a sustainable tourism project with the clear goal of promoting the economic and social development of rural Maya communities. They highlight the historical and cultural value of these properties, integrating and sophisticating the hospitality of the modern world. They invite the world to explore the natural resources and deep knowledge of the Maya, transmitted by their surviving descendants who safeguard their cosmology.
